Why this project existed
Luggage shipping is expensive, unpredictable, and often unreliable. Travelers with extra space in their bags could earn money while helping others-but no platform existed to make this safe and simple.
The mission
We set out to build a community-powered luggage delivery platform where trust, transparency, and affordability come first. Every feature was designed to answer one question: 'Would I trust my own luggage with this system?'
Market reality
Between expensive shipping companies charging $100+ per bag and sketchy online forums, there was a massive gap for a modern, mobile-first, peer-to-peer solution with real verification, tracking, and insurance.

The luggage delivery market was broken. Traditional shipping companies charged premium prices with no flexibility, while peer-to-peer alternatives lacked trust, transparency, and proper tooling.

How we planned the win
Designed a trust-first platform with verification badges, user reviews, and insurance options. Created a mobile-native experience with persistent state, intuitive navigation, and real-time updates. Built a complete design system before writing any component code.

Implemented modern React architecture with Zustand for predictable state, Firebase for auth and real-time sync, and Tailwind for consistent UI. Added Framer Motion for delightful interactions. Built reusable components, optimized bundle size, and made it PWA-ready.
